I’ve been using DStv for a long time, and I can’t deny that the content is good — from sports, movies, to international and local channels, there’s something for everyone. The picture quality and signal are reliable, and I’ve enjoyed many great shows over the years.
It has been nothing but a nice experience ever since I have been using dstv, unlike others that do fluctuate, with dstv, nothing like poor service , their service is smooth giving me the enablement of enjoying my favorite shows with my family.
DStv is a leading satellite TV provider in Nigeria, known for offering a wide range of channels and top-notch sports coverage, particularly live football matches like the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. However, I am frustrated with the frequent price increases, which are often not matched by improvements in content quality. A common concern is DStv’s tendency to repeat old movies and air the same content multiple times, reducing the overall entertainment value.
Additionally, i have noted that cartoon content is sometimes broadcast on channels meant for adult audiences, despite the existence of several dedicated children’s channels. Considering the high subscription fees, more effort is needed to deliver fresh, high-quality content especially new movies and diverse programming to ensure customers get true value for the their money
They have good channels and clear picture quality, but the subscription is too costly for what they offer. Sometimes it cuts off even after payment, and their customer care isn’t always helpful. They need to do better, especially with their prices.
Initially, I was really pleased with how easy it is to pay for DSTV subscriptions using my phone—no need to visit their office, which was very convenient. However, my most recent experience was quite disappointing. I made a payment through my bank app, the money was deducted, but the subscription didn’t activate.
Despite several calls to customer care, the issue was never resolved, and I wasn’t refunded. In the end, I had no choice but to go to the DSTV office and make another payment just to get my service restored. It was frustrating and completely defeated the purpose of the digital convenience they promote.
