My experience with the Glo network has been a mix of good value and occasional challenges. Their data plans are very affordable, making it easy to stay online without spending much. Network coverage is decent in urban areas but can be unreliable in some locations. Internet speed varies, sometimes slowing down during busy hours. I appreciate their frequent bonuses and promotional offers. Overall, Glo is budget-friendly but could improve in consistency and coverage.
Glo network provider really need to mount as many masts as possible in many local places. I went to check a site last month inside Pakuro very close to Magbon area of Mowe, Glo network frustrated me no be small. I couldn't even connect to the internet. It was bringing "E" on a phone of 4g network ooo. So I asked the people there why it is like that and they said the only Glo mast they have is very far from their area. I think they need to mount more masts to relieve people of network frustration. I can't imagine myself staying in that place for a month, it won't be funny at all.
I don't know the difference between MTN and glo for now.. I think MTN is still better than glo because the habit of this this emergency call only is now becoming normal thing for them.. they we just off the network or service for good three days even more than that Self.. please find solution to this..
I’ve been using Glo for a few years now, and honestly, it’s a bit of a love-hate relationship. One thing I’ll give them is their data packages, very generous and probably the most affordable compared to other networks. If you’re someone who uses a lot of data, Glo can really save you money.
That said, the network coverage can be frustrating. In some areas, it works perfectly fine fast internet, no issues. But once you move out of those zones, things start to fall apart. Calls may not connect, or the data becomes painfully slow. It’s not very reliable if you're constantly on the move or living outside major cities.
Customer service is average. Sometimes you get help, sometimes it feels like you're just going in circles. I’ve had to visit their office a couple of times just to sort out simple issues that could’ve been fixed over the phone.
Glo is a decent option if you're mainly looking for affordable data and you live in an area with strong coverage. But if you’re prioritizing consistent service and reliability across locations, it might not always deliver.
I got a GLO sim during one of their promo in Calabar, it was my first sim card and at that time (2018) their network coverage was commendable, plus their yakata data which was the best data deal then. Fast forward to this year, I have been deployed to Nasarawa state for service and since April up until June I wasn't able to access the internet several months of poor internet services. GLO I believe you guys can do better than this
Terrible experience with the Glo app! I tried to buy data, and they gave me a one-time account number to transfer the money. They said it would last for one day, but the moment | left the app to make the transfer and returned, the account number was gone! I had to start the process all over again, meaning I couldn't confirm the money I already sent. How am I supposed to know if my payment went through? This is frustrating and makes no sense. Please fix this issue!
