Review Time
I didn't realize what I missed by not having a Wema account until NYSC gave me an opportunity to have one... I had issues of unnecessary deductions with other banks but with Wema Bank there's no unnecessary deductions, I also get my debit and credit alert promptly.
I’ve been using Wema Bank for a while now. I really like how easy it was to open my account with ALAT no stress, all done online. The app is simple and has cool features like savings goals and a virtual card. But sometimes the app acts up or the network goes down, and that can be really frustrating. Their customer care is helpful, though not always fast. Overall, it’s a good bank, but there’s still room for improvement
I just downloaded the app recently after opening a new account from an ALAT worker.. But after logging in, the changing of passwords is just a headache. I can't move to the next step because the app keeps saying "Oops, something is missing" I don't understand, I don't know if it's network issues but even still I've tried at different time intervals it was still the same.. Please help with that.
It been year now that I have been using wema bank,I love their service provider, anytime I visit any of it branch for complaints am usually attend to.
But the only issue I have had with them is about my debit card I can't use my debit card.
Unless I visit any of it branch and get my cash from their counter.
I recently downloaded the app and setting up an account was war 20th of may 2025. Literally had to commit it to the hands of the Lord cause it kept taking me back to the 'Get Started' page... I Hadd to start the process all over again, multiple times. I finally created an account. Thank God. Now, I tried logging in, but it's saying my credentials are wrong. I have checked thoroughly. They are not wrong. The app seems to crash a lot. What exactly is the issue. Cause I no con understand
I really wanted to like Wema Bank, especially because of the ALAT app, but it’s been disappointing. The app looks nice, but it lags a lot and sometimes logs me out randomly. I've had failed transactions that took days to reverse, and no real explanation from support.
The customer service isn’t responsive messages get ignored or you’re asked to “be patient” without any solution. Even in-branch service can be slow and unorganized.
It feels like they’re trying to be a digital bank, but the technical issues and poor communication make it hard to rely on them for serious banking.
